Billed as Patty Griffin and her Driver, Robert Plant took the stage with his wife, Patty Griffin, in two shows held on Saturday and Sunday night at The Continental Club in Austin. The shows sold out in seven minutes. Benefitting the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (www.myhaam.org), much money was raised for this great cause.

Griffin performed for a half our on her own before Plant joined her for Zeppelin classics like “Goin’ to California” and “Black Dog.”

“Three years ago a guy with big hair and a British accent called me and said he needed help singing on their record,” Griffin said as she introduced Plant. “I followed him on the road for 18 months and after it all he said he’d be my driver.”
