Pussy Riot in Prison

Pussy Riot has been short-listed for Time Magazine’s Person of the Year award.

“In a year when so many voices of liberty and dissent have suffered harsh retribution, the Russian feminist punk group Pussy Riot has paid a particularly steep price for provocative political expression,” says Bruce Crumley of Time.

As of right now, 40% of voters say Pussy Riot definitely deserve the honor while 60% say no way.

Nominees edging ahead of Pussy Riot are Kim Jong Un (currently #1), You Tube “Gangnam Style” sensation Psy, Barack Obama, undocumented immigrants, Stephen Colbert, Malala Yousafsai and Jon Stewart.

Pussy Riot is currently leading Bill and Hillary Clinton, Gabby Douglas, Sandra Fluke, Mitt Romney and Karl Rove.

Online voting ends at midnight on December 12th and the winner will be announced on December 14th.

We may not be able to free Pussy Riot, but we can at least get them on the cover of Time!
