Lisa Loeb Prepares No Fairy Tale

Lisa Loeb, who rose to stardom with her #1 hit, “Stay,” from the 1994 film “Reality Bites” has announced the arrival of a new album, No Fairy Tale, on February 5, 2013.

No Fairy Tale is Loeb’s first pop/rock album in eight years and was co-produced by Loeb with Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory. “He’s a tattoo-ed up post-punk rocker and I’m known more as a singer/songwriter with glasses, which may seem like an unlikely pair, but it totally makes sense,” Loeb said in a press release. “He brought a whole new angle to my music and it was great to work with many of the musicians he works with down in Orange County.”

The new album features Loeb’s very first songwriting collaboration with indie rock darlings, Tegan and Sara. Maia Sharp is featured on the album as well.

The bespectacled singer also designs eyewear and writes music and books for children.
